About Me

Hello. My name is Irina Popova. I founded Popova School in 2019 to provide tailor-made programmes for professionals, students and young learners.

Let me tell you about myself

Graduated in Teaching Foreign Languages and Management and Business Administration, I have always been eager to study different cultures and ways of thinking.

Since I was 10 years old, I have met a lot of Americans and Brits, so I have had a chance to practise my English and to understand their mentality.
When I was 15 years old, I studied in Canterbury, Kent (UK). When I turned 16, I went to High School in Hannover, New Hampshire (USA).
At the age of 18, I started learning Norwegian and had 6 months of University internship in Tromsoe, Norway.
When I turned 20, I went to study Management and Business Admninistration at the University College in Harstad, Norway.
At the age of 24, I moved to Italy where I started working as a Technical Translator and Sales Assistant.
At the age of 31, I started my career of International Sales Manager. I travelled a lot all over the world, following sales and marketing activities in the UK, Australia, Asia, Europe and Middle East. I learnt a lot from every person and culture I had a chance to get acquainted with.
At the age of 39, I decided to dedicate my life to my PASSION: teaching English.

I love my job! For me teaching is not just about the learning and teaching process, but it’s also very much about finding the best individual approach to every student to build long-term relationships and trust.

Moreover, teaching and contact with my students of different age categories allows me to contribute to the growth and educational enrichment of the country I love, our Italy!

I am described as a creative and flexible person, with international mentality, elevated communication skills, problem-solving and emotional intelligence. I am keen on growing every day by exploring vaious innovative technologies of the 21^st century without forgetting about old traditions and our cultural past. Therefore, I have chosen the following slogan for my school:
